Brave Dog Swims with Killer Whales

Encounter with Orcas at Mathesons Bay, Leigh.

The free diver was on his way back in when he must have seen the whales and quickly got out onto the rocks. It seemed like there was at least 4 Orcas around him of which one was a mother with her calf.

The one Orca came very close to shore where the Labrador was busy retrieving sticks from the water. He saw the whale and quickly turned around and swam back to shore with the Orca following as far as he could go.

The best cosplay of all time

Published on Nov 11, 2012 by
You know how, outside car yard sales, they'll have those big inflatable stick figure people who flap around? Well, right towards the end of Brisbane Supanova 2012, I ran into this guy. He had *everyone* in stitches. :D

EDIT: Well now, this seems to have gained a little attention, hasn't it? I honestly can't believe this response to this video so far. It's not even been 48 hours since I uploaded it and my most recent count shows over 720,000 views. It's been popping up all over the place, including:

ATTENTION: If you are the cosplayer in question, please make contact with me! I'd really like to be able to put a name to the face and make sure that you get the recognition you deserve. After all, you're the star of this video, I'm just the guy who happened to film it and was lucky enough for it to go viral.

Locomotive Dropped on Delivery

Published on Nov 6, 2012 by
A brand new American Engineered EMD GT46C-ACe was dropped while being unloaded from the cargo-ship at dock. Not sure of the root cause yet but this one is going to be expensive to fix. The frame is certainly broken and every rotating apparatus can be deemed scrap. Who pays this bill?

How to go to the drive thru without arms

People go to the drive thru everyday. How would you handle seeing an armless girl going thru the drive-thru if you were a fast food restaurant employee?

Going to the drive thru can be a challenge as an armless woman. I wonder to myself every time I go to the drive through, "How is the person at the window going to react to me?" "are they going to want to take my money from my feet?" and "is this going to end up being an awkward situation when they try and hand me my food and drink?" also "what is the guy behind me thinking?"

I have had a couple of instances where the person at the window didn't want to take my money, and a couple of instances where they thought I was super cool.

'Terminator' arm is world's most advanced prosthetic limb

Published on Nov 5, 2012 by
More info about this amazing prosthetic can be found here http://bebionic.com

A father who lost his arm in an accident six years ago has been given a new lease of life by a hi-tech bionic hand which is so precise he can type again. Nigel Ackland, 53, has been fitted with the Terminator-like carbon fibre mechanical hand which he can control with movements in his upper arm. The new bebionic3 myoelectric hand, which is also made from aluminium and alloy knuckles, moves like a real human limb by responding to Nigel's muscle twitches. Incredibly, the robotic arm is so sensitive it means the father-of-one can touch type on a computer keyboard, peel vegetables, and even dress himself for the first time in six years.
